n the "Kuyu" operation, which took place in 7 provinces, including Antalya, 81 suspects were arrested.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that within the scope of the "Kuyu" operations targeting organized crime gangs, 81 suspects were arrested in 7 provinces in the past week, 50 of whom were arrested.

Minister Yerlikaya stated on his social media account that the operations were carried out in Istanbul, Bursa, Antalya, Izmir, Denizli, Balıkesir, and Yalova. He mentioned that the identities of the criminal gang leaders were identified during the operations carried out by the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department and provincial police departments.

Details of the operations were shared by Yerlikaya: the Antalya operation (Kuyu-41) targeted the gang led by B.G., the Izmir operation (Kuyu-42) targeted O.Ç., the Denizli operation (Kuyu-43) targeted A.K., the Balıkesir operation (Kuyu-44) targeted Z.U.T. and F.T., and the Yalova operation (Kuyu-45) targeted the gang led by Ü.B.

Out of the 81 people arrested, 50 were sent to prison after being detained, while 25 were released under judicial control. The procedures for the other suspects are ongoing.

Seized Weapons and Materials

During the operations:

43 unlicensed pistols,

2 automatic pistols,

3 unlicensed shotguns,

Numerous cutting and piercing tools,

Various amounts of narcotics, and 1 stolen motorcycle were seized.

An investigation has been launched against the arrested suspects for several crimes, including "forming a criminal organization," "aggravated robbery," "attempted murder," "usury," and "violation of Law No. 6136."

Minister Yerlikaya thanked the police teams and prosecutors who conducted the operations, saying, "The breath of organized crime groups has now been cut off. We will continue our fight tirelessly and resolutely. We will not tolerate any criminal group that thinks it is above the law."

This operation was emphasized as an important step in the determined fight against criminal organizations.
