Description
Cüceler Cave (Dwarf Cave), also known as the Gnome Cave, is located 18 km from the center of Alanya in the Demirtaş area. Opened to visitors in 2012, it is situated on the road to Sapadere Canyon.
The cave's name comes from a legend about a dwarf boy who hid there from cruel neighbors. The cave consists of six galleries, totaling about 155 meters in length. The entrance is equipped with wooden bridges and metal structures leading to the entrance at 180 meters above the road. Inside, stalactites and stalagmites are illuminated with colorful lights, creating a rainbow effect. The temperature inside is around 20°C.
According to legends, during the Ottoman period, peasants hid their animals here to avoid taxes. Visiting the cave will be interesting for nature and history enthusiasts.
