Description
Alanya Iskele Camii is a small but significant mosque located in Alanya, Turkey.
The exact date of the mosque's construction is unknown, but it is believed to have been built in the 12th-13th centuries, based on the dates of nearby structures such as the Karatay Madrasa and the Salihler House. Architecturally, the mosque belongs to the Seljuk style and features characteristics of that period.
The mosque is supported by six columns and has arched structures. There are inscriptions on the walls of the mosque, but their content is unknown. During restoration work in the Kaleiçi area, the mosque was also renovated. The most unique feature of the mosque is its small size, making it the smallest mosque in Turkey.
The mosque is located in the Kaleiçi Marina area and can be accessed by forty steps from the harbor. It is a popular spot among both locals and tourists who visit it to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere and historical significance.
