The Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has launched a large-scale pest control operation in public schools in Alanya. This effort is being carried out by teams from the Environmental Health Department, in cooperation with the Alanya National Education Directorate.

During the activities held on Friday and Saturday, pest control is being conducted in critical areas such as sewage, storm drains, sinks, and toilets across various educational institutions, from kindergartens to high schools. A total of 200 personnel are involved in this initiative, and so far, the work has been completed in 137 out of 172 schools. The pest control for the remaining 35 schools will be completed next Friday and Saturday. Pest control is also being conducted in school yards, aimed at improving hygiene conditions in schools and protecting students' health. The municipality's initiative aims to ensure that students receive education in cleaner and safer environments before the start of the school year.
