The market in Alanya has revived: prices have dropped by 50%!

The Alanya Posta Medya team scrutinized fruit and vegetable prices at the Tuesday market. According to the conducted analysis, the price of freshly harvested green beans, which had set a record, dropped by 50%, from 120 TL to 60 TL, while the price of lemons, previously sold at 100 TL, also fell by 50% to 50 TL.

Research shows that with changing weather conditions, fruit and vegetable prices have also started to fluctuate. As a result of the investigations conducted by our team, a decrease in prices has been observed at the local market this week. Tomatoes and cucumbers, which were 35 TL, are now 25 TL; eggplants decreased from 35 TL to 30 TL; fresh green beans dropped from 120 TL to 60 TL; borlotti beans decreased from 80 TL to 60 TL; peppers went down from 40 TL to 35 TL; onions dropped from 20 TL to 13 TL; and potatoes fell from 30 TL to 10 TL. The price of bananas increased, now costing 60 TL per kilogram instead of 35 TL. Seasonal greens like parsley and arugula remained at 15 TL, while lettuce fell from 35 TL to 30 TL. Cauliflower is priced at 50 TL, and avocados are available for 50 TL each. Despite the drop in prices, the purchasing power of citizens continues to decline, leading them to reduce their shopping portions. Market vendors also note that even though prices are falling, the former crowds of customers are now a thing of the past.
