Cooperation between ALKÜ and International Balkan University
A protocol has been signed between Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) and the International Balkan University (IBU) in North Macedonia, aiming to implement exchange programs for students and academics from both universities in the future, as well as to carry out joint scientific and research projects.
Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) continues to collaborate with many universities to provide its students with better education in their fields and to prepare them more effectively for the future. In this context, ALKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan visited the International Balkan University (IBU) in North Macedonia, where he signed a protocol for cooperation with IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Lüfti Sunar after their meeting to discuss the collaboration between the two universities.
During the visit, Dr. Selçuk Eren Çanakçı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih Tellioğlu, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Nebioğlu accompanied Rector Türkdoğan. In the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Sunar was accompanied by Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan İbrahimi, General Secretary Metin Celil, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Ristevska, and Coordinator of IBU’s Lifelong Learning Center Dr. Selçuk Eren Çanakçı.
Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan held detailed discussions with Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar to strengthen the university’s bilateral collaborations and to support the establishment of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Tourism Management departments at IBU. The meeting focused on sharing information about the operation of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Tourism Management departments, as well as the employment of their graduates. Following this, a bilateral memorandum of understanding was signed by Rector Türkdoğan and Rector Sunar, representing both universities.
The signed memorandum of understanding includes decisions to implement exchange programs for students and academics from both universities and to cooperate in conducting joint scientific and research projects. During the visit, delegations led by the rectors of both universities visited the Balkan Dental Clinic and Balkan Laboratories.
Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan stated that the university will continue to collaborate with various institutions and universities both domestically and internationally. He expressed excitement about future collaborations with the International Balkan University, saying, "We are continuing to create new projects and achieve successes so that our students can receive better education in all areas and apply what they learn. We signed the memorandum of understanding for future collaborations with IBU, and I sincerely thank Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar and the IBU family for their warmth and hospitality. ALKÜ will continue to unite its strength with universities in many countries to offer the best future to our students."
IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar wished the protocol to be beneficial for both institutions. Rector Türkdoğan then visited the InnoX Technology and Innovation Center, established by the Skopje Foundation as part of the International Balkan University initiative, and thanked the Director, Abil Baush. Rector Türkdoğan recommended that everyone visiting Skopje should take the opportunity to visit the InnoX Technology and Innovation Center.
