Warnings Issued for Antalya and Alanya: The Storm is Coming Strong This Time!
The Turkish Meteorological Service (MGM) announced that tomorrow a strong northern storm is expected across Antalya and its surroundings, with a full-blown storm forecast for higher altitudes.
According to meteorological officials, starting tomorrow morning, north winds will intensify throughout Antalya. The storm is expected to reach speeds of 50-70 km/h, while at altitudes above 1,500 meters, it may escalate to a full-blown storm with speeds up to 100 km/h.
The warning also includes Alanya, where severe winds are predicted, particularly in rural areas, plateaus, and high altitudes. Authorities have advised residents in Alanya to be cautious of potential risks, such as roof damage, fallen trees, and carbon monoxide poisoning for those using stoves for heating.
On the coastal areas of Antalya and Alanya, the storm may disrupt sea transportation. MGM officials urged fishermen and those planning sea voyages to take precautions. Additionally, strong winds are likely to cause issues on roadways.

The Antalya Governor's Office and the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), taking MGM's storm warning into account, have called on residents to take preventive measures. They recommended securing items on roofs, balconies, and open areas and advised avoiding going outside unless absolutely necessary.
