Important visit to AGC: "Digital is a completely different field"

The Director of the Antalya Regional Branch of the Press Advertisement Institution (BİK), İdris Cirit, paid a courtesy visit to the Alanya Journalists' Association (AGC). During the visit, Regional Director Cirit provided information about BİK and said, "We are working together at the local level. Hopefully, we will succeed together".

İdris Cirit was welcomed by AGC President Gaye Coşkun and board members.

During his visit, Cirit congratulated the new AGC Board and provided the following information: "BİK was established in 1961. Its purpose is to ensure the fair distribution of advertisements. Currently, we are providing all kinds of support to strengthen local press and help it stand on its own feet. Now, digitalization is here. Digital is a completely different realm. We see that news read in newspapers is not being read digitally. The digital space is one where fake news doesn’t get carried. In the digital world, a news item appears only once. When you raise a question in the reader's mind, they stop following you. If you do not fill this gap with qualified news, we see that it is filled by people who are far from the language of news. Innovation in this field is very important".

"NEW READERS FOLLOW DIGITAL LANGUAGE" AGC President Gaye Coşkun expressed her pleasure with the visit and thanked İdris Cirit. During the conversation on professional topics, Coşkun pointed out that the new reader follows the digital language, stating, "Our job has become more difficult, now we work day and night for the news".

At the end of the visit, gifts were exchanged, and a photo was taken to commemorate the occasion.
