Doctors are quitting again! Don’t get sick in Alanya
Family doctors in Alanya have announced that they will go on strike from January 6 to 10, 2025, in response to the new regulation issued by the Ministry of Health.
Family doctors in Alanya have decided to stop working from January 6 to 10, 2025. In protest against the Ministry of Health's new Family Medicine Contract and Payment Regulation, the doctors argue that working conditions are worsening and their rights are being violated.
With the new regulation, doctors are being given unreachable targets, resulting in a significant reduction in their wages. This situation weakens job security and raises concerns about their future. There are also fears that the performance-based pay system could negatively affect the quality of healthcare services.
The doctors' decision to strike will make it harder for the public to access healthcare and negatively impact the healthcare system. Dr. Derya Mengücük, President of the Health Workers' Union and Solidarity, stated that healthcare workers are justified in their actions and that this situation threatens the entire healthcare system. "This is an imposition of a system that disregards our labor and dedication," she said.
