ATM Withdrawal Limits Increased! Great Convenience for Users

An important step has been taken to improve the user experience in the banking sector. With the new regulation valid across Turkey, ATM withdrawal limits have been increased. As of January 1, 2025, banks have raised the current withdrawal limit from 10,000 TL to 15,000 TL, while some banks increased it to 20,000 TL.

Higher Withdrawal Limits via QR Code

Withdrawal limits using QR codes through mobile banking apps have also been increased. This change offers significant convenience, especially for users who do not carry cards or need cash urgently.

Reduction in Small Denomination Banknotes in ATMs

Recently, 10 TL and 20 TL banknotes have been removed from ATMs and replaced with 200 TL banknotes. Some banks have also stopped using 50 TL and 100 TL banknotes. While this allows ATMs to remain stocked longer, it poses challenges for users who wish to withdraw small amounts of cash.

500 and 1000 TL Banknotes Not Yet Circulated

Despite the devaluation of the 200 TL note to approximately $5.5 due to currency fluctuations, 500 and 1000 TL banknotes have not been introduced. This creates an operational burden for banks, as ATMs need to be replenished with cash more frequently.

The new regulations aim to streamline and simplify daily banking transactions for users.
