Prof. Dr. Naci Görür issued a frightening earthquake warning! Millions of people are at risk

Geologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated that Adıyaman has not yet encountered its full seismic potential and once again emphasized the risk of the expected earthquake in Istanbul.

Speaking at the conference titled "Earthquake-Resistant Adıyaman," held at the Adıyaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Istanbul Technical University faculty member and geologist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made significant statements.

Prof. Dr. Görür highlighted the main fault lines threatening Adıyaman: the East Anatolian Fault, the Dead Sea Fault, and the Bitlis Thrust Belt, noting their high risk of causing major earthquakes in the region.

Drawing attention to the insufficient earthquake preparedness across Turkey, Prof. Dr. Görür painted a grim picture for Istanbul.

He stated that out of 1.1 million buildings in the city, approximately 100,000 would either collapse completely or suffer severe damage.
