A tragic incident occurred on the flight from Istanbul to Gazipaşa. A 5-month pregnant passenger fell ill, and as a result of premature labor, the baby did not survive.

On the Pegasus Airlines flight PC-2070, operated on Saturday, January 18, between Sabiha Gökçen and Gazipaşa, a sad event took place. On the plane heading to Gazipaşa, a 5-month pregnant passenger fell ill and gave birth prematurely. However, the newborn did not survive.

After the cabin crew's initial intervention and an announcement for a doctor, the birth took place on board. The pilot, assessing the situation, decided to return the aircraft to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After the return, the mother was transferred to the hospital by ambulance.

The next day, Sunday, January 19, another tragedy occurred aboard a different Pegasus aircraft — a Boeing 737 flying from Hurghada to Istanbul. During the descent into Sabiha Gökçen, other passengers noticed a motionless passenger. They reported this to the cabin crew.

After the intervention, it was determined that the passenger had no pulse. The pilot contacted air traffic control and called for an emergency ambulance. Despite all efforts, the passenger could not be saved.

Both incidents caused difficult moments for both passengers and crew.
