The bill for the Mahmutlar shopping center was left to the Alanya Municipality
After a long legal battle in Mahmutlar, the bill for the construction of the shopping center was handed to the Alanya Municipality.
The project, which started in 2013 and became complicated with changes in mayors, resulted in the municipality being sentenced to pay 80 million TL in compensation due to disagreements with the company that won the municipal tender. This debt will be paid in 24 monthly installments.
The winning company, Atlas İnşaat, filed a lawsuit, claiming they had not been paid for the work done. After a lengthy legal process, the court accepted the municipality’s position.
In the tender for the operation of the shopping center, the highest bid came from the Paşaoğlu family. This family, which also operates the Alanyum Shopping Mall, completed and opened the Mahmutlar Shopping Center.
This development challenges the municipality's budget but has provided a new shopping center for the residents of Mahmutlar.
