Horrific accident in Alanya: An elderly man trapped under a truck is fighting for his life

A traffic accident occurred yesterday around 5:00 PM in Alanya’s Dinek neighborhood, leaving a motorcyclist seriously injured.

A MAN truck with license plate 33 AZA 521, traveling in the direction of Mersin, collided with a motorcycle bearing plate number 07 AFR 837 at the Dinek Junction. As a result of the crash, 73-year-old motorcyclist Ahmet K. was injured and taken to the hospital.

Following reports from local residents, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured man received first aid on-site before being transported to the hospital by ambulance. Meanwhile, the truck driver, Sametcan T., was taken to the police station for questioning.

Eyewitnesses Describe the Accident

Witness Mevlüt Şahinli claimed that the accident was caused by a red light violation, stating, "It looked like the truck ran a red light. When the motorcycle hit it from the side, the crash became inevitable. The injured man was in serious condition and was immediately taken to the hospital."

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
