Hearing screening and ergonomics training for carpentry workshop staff in Alanya

Alanya Municipality continues its efforts to protect staff health
On March 3, World Ear and Hearing Day, a hearing screening was conducted for the staff of the Parks and Gardens Department's carpentry workshop by the Municipality's Accessible Park and Life Center.
The event, which was also attended by Alanya Municipality Presidential Advisors Faruk Konukçu and Nazmi Zavlak, included not only hearing screening but also ergonomics and posture training. Advisor to the Mayor, Nazmi Zavlak, emphasized the importance of regular health checks for staff working in noisy environments and stated that protecting employee health is one of the municipality's top priorities.
ERGONOMICS AND POSTURE TRAINING PROVIDED
Zavlak also mentioned that in addition to hearing screening, a physiotherapist from the Accessible Park and Life Center provided training on ergonomics and posture to help employees develop proper posture and ergonomic movement habits during work. "These preventive measures are crucial for ensuring a healthy working environment. We aimed to identify any hearing loss among our staff working in noisy conditions and detect it early if present," he said.
WORK IS ALSO BEING DONE FOR CHILDREN
Faruk Konukçu, Advisor to the Mayor, pointed out that the hearing screenings were scheduled in conjunction with World Ear and Hearing Day on March 3, and added that the work carried out by the Accessible Park and Life Center goes beyond staff, extending to children as well, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis. Konukçu noted that Alanya Municipality will continue to carry out such awareness-raising efforts to protect the health of employees in various areas.
