Is the high-speed train coming to Alanya? Here is the high-speed train project from Kayseri, Konya, Antalya to Alanya

In Konya, the ground survey has been completed for the project that will connect Nevşehir, Kayseri, Aksaray, Konya, and Antalya. The map of the project, published on the internet, created excitement in Alanya. The map shows that one of the branches splitting in Antalya will head towards Alanya.

The Turkish State Railways (TCDD) is expanding its High-Speed Train (YHT) network. With TCDD’s latest project, a new YHT line will be constructed connecting Nevşehir, Kayseri, Aksaray, Konya, and Antalya.

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN KONYA AND ANTALYA WILL BE 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES

The Antalya-Konya section of the project will begin in November 2024 and is expected to be completed by 2030. The Konya-Aksaray section will be finished in 2031, while the Aksaray-Kayseri section will start in 2031 and is expected to be completed by 2037. With the project, travel time between Konya and Antalya will be reduced to 1 hour and 15 minutes, and between Kayseri and Antalya, it will be reduced to 2 hours and 45 minutes.

THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE PROJECT WILL BE 607 KILOMETERS

The railway line will start from Kayseri and pass through Nevşehir, Aksaray, and Konya to reach Antalya. The total length of the 4-segment high-speed train project will be 607 kilometers. In the Kayseri-Antalya high-speed train project, 3 main stations are planned: Acıgöl, Nevşehir, and Avanos. This will reduce the travel time between Kayseri and Antalya to 2 hours and 45 minutes. The design of the Konya-Antalya section is complete, and the survey for the Nevşehir-Konya section is still ongoing.

ALANYA'S POSITION IN THE PROJECT

The published map of the project caused a sensation. The map shows that the Antalya line splits into two directions. The high-speed train network from Konya towards Manavgat splits further into two branches, heading towards Serik and Alanya. If this project is realized as shown on the map, it will significantly ease transportation to Alanya.
