Only 3 days left for Alanya: Penalties will be imposed on those who delay

The deadline for rental income declaration for property owners in Alanya and surrounding areas has been set to April 7. According to a statement by the Revenue Administration (GİB), the deadline for declaring rental income for 2024 has been extended from April 2 to April 7 due to the Ramadan holiday. Penalties and interest will be applied to those who do not submit their declarations.
Taxpayers can now submit their income tax returns quickly and securely through the GİB's digital platforms. Property owners of residential and commercial properties can complete their transactions via the Digital Tax Office, while those engaged in commercial, agricultural, and professional activities can also submit their declarations electronically.
TAX OBLIGATION FOR RENTAL INCOME
Starting from 2024, taxpayers with residential rental income exceeding 33,000 TL and commercial rental income exceeding 230,000 TL are required to submit a declaration. Those earning below these limits are exempt from the declaration obligation.
PENALTY AND INTEREST FOR LATE SUBMISSIONS
After the declaration period expires, those who fail to submit their returns on time will face a special administrative penalty. Additionally, if taxes are paid late, a tax loss penalty and delay interest will be applied. Taxes can be paid in two installments in April and July of 2025.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: EASY AND SECURE
Tax payments can be made via gib.gov.tr, the GİB mobile app, the Digital Tax Office, participating banks, and PTT branches.
