Paris 2024: Buse Savaşkan, Ersu Şaşma, and Kuzey Tunçelli have advanced to the finals
Historic Success for Kuzey Tunçelli:
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kuzey Tunçelli advanced to the final of the men's 1500 meters freestyle swimming event with a time of 14:45.27. At just 16 years old, Kuzey became the first Turkish swimmer in Olympic history to reach a final.
The final of the men's 1500 meters freestyle will start tomorrow evening at 19:37.
Ersu Şaşma in the Final Again:
In the men's pole vault qualifiers at the 2024 Paris Olympics, national athlete Ersu Şaşma cleared heights of 5.40, 5.60, 5.70, and 5.75 on his first attempt, securing a spot among the top 12 athletes. Ersu Şaşma, who became the first Turkish athlete to reach the final in pole vaulting at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has repeated this achievement in Paris.
The pole vault final will take place on Monday, August 5, at 20:00.
Buse Savaşkan in the Final:
In the women's high jump qualifiers, national athlete Buse Savaşkan cleared a height of 1.92 on her second attempt, finishing in eighth place in the qualifiers and earning a spot in the final.
