A joint decision has been made to work together for an accessible city in Alanya
The Alanya Municipality and District Police Department have decided to work together to make city life easier for individuals with disabilities and address the challenges they face.
Alanya Municipality Advisor Faruk Konukçu, Social Assistance Affairs Director Hüseyin Doğan, Accessible Park and Life Center Director Münir Altıoğlu, and Accessibility Officer Gamze Önal visited Alanya District Police Chief Murat Kenan Patat.
KONUKÇU: WE WILL COORDINATE WITH ALL INSTITUTIONS During the visit, Municipality Advisor Faruk Konukçu stated, “We are joining forces with our police department to make Alanya a city accessible for all. We aim to reduce the obstacles individuals with disabilities encounter in daily life and provide them with a more comfortable city. As part of this effort, we plan to increase traffic monitoring and organize awareness campaigns in the community”.
PATAT: WE WILL PROVIDE FULL SUPPORT
Alanya District Police Chief Murat Kenan Patat expressed his commitment to the collaboration, saying, “We are ready to provide all necessary support to ensure that individuals with disabilities can live safely and comfortably in public spaces. Traffic checks will be carried out with particular sensitivity to protect the rights of people with disabilities. Working together with Alanya Municipality to make our city more accessible is both a responsibility and a source of pride for us”.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to collaborate in easing the lives of people with disabilities in the city. Following discussions, a joint decision was made to work together to address the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
