In Alanya, people gathered to help baby Burçe

A charity fair was organized in Alanya to support baby Burçe, who is fighting SMA Type 1.

With the support of the Alanya Municipality, political parties, and NGOs, a charity fair was organized in Alanya to support baby Burçe, who is battling SMA Type 1. The fair took place next to the Hacı Memişler Mosque, and Alanya Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Koçak, Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) President Eray Erdem, politicians, and many citizens attended to show their support. Burçe's uncle, Safa Çelik, invited everyone to the fair, which will continue tomorrow. Çelik said, "Last Monday, we made a calculation and we are currently at 57% of the required amount. Our campaign has been running for about two months, and we are progressing faster than other campaigns. Especially in regions like Alanya and Manavgat, we believe we can handle this burden easily. However, we need to move faster. One of the reasons for this is that we are dealing with SMA Type 1. SMA Type 1 progresses faster than Type 2 and Type 3, and each child’s condition can be different. Currently, we are observing visible progress in our child. Therefore, our fight is very important. We continue to work tirelessly, organizing events every day. Today, we held our first fair in Alanya. Previously, we had fairs in the western regions, in Okurcalar and Avsallar. However, in Alanya, only a certain group knows us and has heard our message. We are organizing such events to reach more people and raise awareness. Although the current participation is a bit below what we expected, we believe tomorrow will be better. We expect everyone to come. If one person reaches ten, we can spread our voice to more people. Therefore, we are asking everyone who sees and hears us to come here. Even if you can’t come, a share on social media can help us reach others."
