In collaboration with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Alanya Municipality, and the Mediterranean Youth Association, the event "Alanya of the Future with Youth: Participation and Opportunity Meeting" is being organized to increase youth participation in local governance processes and inform them about international opportunities. This comprehensive event allows young people to share their ideas and shape the future of Alanya, making it a youth-friendly city.
The event will take place from October 18 to 20, 2024, at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Education Camp. 40 young individuals aged 18-33 residing in Alanya will participate, developing solutions to contribute to the development of Alanya, collaborating with local administrations, and enhancing their personal development. During the event, participants will propose ideas for improving youth-focused services and gain insight into international opportunities. This will enable them to develop not only at the local level but also on the international stage. Furthermore, the direct interaction of young people with local administrations will contribute to strengthening democracy from the grassroots level and actively involving youth in decision-making processes that shape Alanya's future. The event will help young people develop their social participation skills while providing them with a closer understanding of local governance processes. Additionally, by offering opportunities to participate in international projects and access different cultural experiences, it will expand their horizons. The skills that youth will gain from this event will enhance both their individual development and their contributions to the community they live in. Young people who wish to participate in the event must fill out the application form. The deadline for applications is October 14, 2024, and the motivation for participation and interest in social engagement will be considered in the evaluation of applications. Results will be communicated to participants via email, and confirmation of participation will be requested.
