Tuğba Özay protested in Antalya: Not everyone can be human
Former model Tuğba Özay protested on her social media account against the disposal of garbage in nature in the Manavgat district of Antalya.
Former model Tuğba Özay protested on her social media broadcast against the disposal of garbage in nature at the Kır area in the Sarılar village of Manavgat. Özay, who frequently visits Manavgat due to her farm, had previously done broadcasts to draw attention to pollution. Calling herself a nature lover, Özay stated that garbage harms human health. She said, "This is a terrible situation. It’s a betrayal of the country, an insult to nature. A great disrespect to nature. No matter how you look at it, it’s a disaster."
SAFARI TOURS PASS THROUGH THIS ROAD
Previously mentioning that there had been fires in the area caused by garbage, Özay added, "There is a terrible smell, and this is a tourist area. Safari vehicles pass through this road. All tourists who come in the summer for 6-7 months see this garbage, this horribleness. Is this how we should promote our country?"
WE CAN’T EVEN PROTECT HISTORICAL MONUMENTS
Explaining that agricultural land and a historical aqueduct are located near the garbage piles, Özay said, "The historical aqueduct is 3,000 years old. We can't even protect historical monuments. In front of our history, there are piles of garbage. Flies, foul smell, etc. This is nothing but a betrayal of the country, humanity, and ourselves."
CAMERAS COULD BE INSTALLED
Walking among the piles of garbage, Özay said, "I don't believe that those who did this have any love for the country, nature, or people. They don’t even love themselves. My heart cannot bear this sight. I believe it’s easy to find the people who throw out garbage. Cameras could be installed in many areas. Last summer, I saw the same mountain of garbage while passing by Lake Bafa. I filmed it. The next morning, the Ministry of Highways, the Mayor of Milas, and the Mayor of Muğla all got involved, and the area was immediately cleaned up. Afterward, cameras were installed there."
