The Mayor's Advisor Konukçu warns Alanya students about "popular" professions

The Mayor’s Advisor of Alanya, Faruk Konukçu, met with students as part of the "Career Days" event. He offered some advice and recommended avoiding "popular" professions.

The Alanya Municipality Social Aid Department, the Fahri Gürses Support Education Courses, and the Study Center launched the "Career Days" event for 12th-grade students and graduates. The event will be held every Wednesday, where experts from different professions and professionals with field experience will meet with young people. The goal of the event is to inform students about current and future professions, help them discover their potential during the career selection process, and raise awareness about promising professions. The first guest of the event was Mayor’s Advisor Faruk Konukçu.

"AVOID POPULAR PROFESSIONS"

Sharing his life experiences with students, Konukçu offered several pieces of advice. He said, "Some may not see you or appreciate you. The most important thing is to be aware of yourself. I recommend avoiding popular professions, as they are temporary. Periodically, professions experience surges for this reason. If something is being widely discussed and getting a lot of attention, that profession is over. When a profession attracts too much interest, it will become oversaturated. Once you graduate, it will be difficult to find employment, and you will become cheap labor for that profession."

EACH WEEK WILL FEATURE A DIFFERENT GUEST

The program will cover topics such as the requirements of professions, their advantages, field applications, and future job opportunities. These events aim to help students consciously set their career goals while also contributing to discovering their interests and abilities. Each week, a different profession will be introduced, and students will have the opportunity to interact directly with professionals from that field to get answers to their questions.
