Recently in Alanya, scammers have been requesting assistance by using the name of the Alanya Municipality Social Services Department, prompting a warning to citizens about potential fraud.

Alanya Mayor's Advisor Faruk Konukçu has cautioned the public to be careful of scammers who, pretending to be from the Social Services Department, are asking citizens for help.

DO NOT TRUST REQUESTS FOR HELP

In his statement, Konukçu emphasized that such calls should not be trusted, saying, "Do not trust those who claim to be calling from the Alanya Municipality Social Services Department and asking for help; this is a new fraudulent activity."

Authorities stressed that citizens who encounter such situations should immediately report them to the police. It was also advised that people obtain information through official channels to avoid falling victim to fraud.
