Attention Students in Alanya! You Can Attend a Private School for Free
The Ministry of National Education has introduced an important regulation for the children of martyrs, veterans, and those under state protection. Under the new directive, these children will benefit from all services in private schools across Turkey, including Alanya, free of charge. This includes not only tuition fees but also meals, boarding, uniforms, books, and international diploma programs.
Published in the Official Gazette on January 3, the regulation will take effect in the 2025-2026 academic year, creating new opportunities, particularly in regions like Alanya, which offer diverse educational options. Private educational institutions are required to provide free education to at least 3% of their student capacity, prioritizing children of martyrs, veterans, and those under state care.
Applications Begin in Summer
The Ministry of National Education will release the "Free Student/Course Placement Guide" in July, initiating the application process. Applications will be made electronically during the summer months, allowing students to select private schools they wish to attend in August. Private schools in Alanya are also expected to participate in this program.
New Opportunities in Alanya
The regulation aims to expand educational opportunities in regions like Alanya, which hosts a diverse population due to its tourism potential. Children of martyrs, veterans, and those under state care will be able to receive full support for their education in private schools in Alanya.
Priorities Under the Law
According to Article 13 of Law No. 5580 on Private Educational Institutions, private schools will prioritize children of martyrs, veterans, and those under state care for free education quotas. This free quota policy will also apply to private educational courses outside of private schools, with applications managed by the Alanya Governor's Office.
This regulation aims to strengthen educational support for children of martyrs and veterans in Alanya while ensuring equality of opportunity.
