Harassment scandal in Alanya: H. T. will be tried in custody

In June 2023, an incident of harassment in Alanya caused a significant public outcry. According to allegations, 28-year-old H. T. was detained following complaints from his colleagues. The female complainants claimed that Hasan T. secretly recorded videos under their skirts without permission and stored them on his personal computer. The investigation attracted considerable attention.

Following complaints in Alanya, the police took Hasan T. to the station. The suspect gave a statement and was released. Subsequently, it was alleged that H. T.'s family tried to intimidate the victimized women into withdrawing their complaints. However, the women did not back down despite all threats.

At the first hearing, the defendant H. T. did not attend the court. As a result, a decision was made to bring him in by force. At the second hearing held yesterday, the defendant H. T. appeared with his lawyer. The court ruled that the suspect be held in custody and scheduled the next hearing for February 4, 2024.
