Thank You Visit from the Ice Skating Champion

Gökçen Bahadır, a Research Assistant at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ), Department of English Language Education, who won first place in two categories at the Juna Cup 2025 International Artistic Ice Skating Competition, visited the Rector of ALKÜ, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan.

While ALKÜ continues to increase its achievements in sports and with athletes, university staff who are also athletes are succeeding in national and international arenas. At the Juna Cup 2025 International Artistic Ice Skating Competition, held in Tallinn, Estonia, from January 3-5, where 16 countries participated, Gökçen Bahadır won first place in two different programs in the Young Adults Silver Category: Free Skating and Artistic Free Skating. Following this success, Bahadır visited ALKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan and brought her trophies. She shared that she was proud of her achievements and that she was dedicating herself more intensively to her training.

Bahadır stated that her goal is to continue raising the Turkish flag at the championship podiums of international competitions.

During the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan thanked Bahadır for her achievements, expressing pride on behalf of ALKÜ, and mentioned that the ALKÜ family is always by her side. The visit ended with a photo of Bahadır with her two trophies as a keepsake.
