New artifacts have been discovered during archaeological excavations in Alanya

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, excavations were carried out in the ancient cities of Side, Syedra, Sillyon, Olimpos, and Phaselis, resulting in the discovery of 886 new artifacts.

These artifacts shed light on the history of Antalya, and finds such as the altar dedicated to Apollo in Phaselis provide new information about the Mediterranean region. The discovered items have begun to be displayed in the Side Museum, as well as museums in Antalya, Alanya, and Demre. Antalya continues to demonstrate its commitment to preserving its historical heritage with a sustainable tourism approach, allocating a budget of 500 million Turkish lira for archaeological works.
