A developer was arrested in Alanya: convicted in a case of zoning violations
In Alanya, Kayseri-based contractor Mikail Ü., sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison for causing zoning violations, was detained during an operation conducted by the gendarmerie. After being referred to the Alanya Courthouse, Mikail Ü. was sent to prison.
CONTRACTOR'S SENTENCE UPHELD
Mikail Ü., who has investments in the jewelry, hotel, and construction sectors in Alanya, was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison due to buildings violating the Zoning Law. The Alanya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant, and he was apprehended on Sunday evening while dining at a restaurant in Alanya Castle through technical surveillance.
FINES AND SEALED BUILDINGS
It was revealed that in Mikail Ü.'s hotel in Avsallar, violations were documented due to excess structures. In 2024, a four-story building in the Saray neighborhood, where columns were damaged to relocate the entrance landing to the basement, was fined 10 million TL, and the building was sealed.
PREVIOUS VIOLATIONS IDENTIFIED
In a renovated building in the Demirtaş neighborhood, additional violations were detected, leading to demolition orders and fines for Mikail Ü.
Mikail Ü. was sent to Alanya Type L Closed Penal Institution, and the legal proceedings concerning his case are ongoing.
