A person died after drinking counterfeit alcohol at a barbershop

In Istanbul (Esenyurt), Kazakhstani citizen Samat Imanbekov died after drinking counterfeit alcohol, which he had purchased from a restaurant and consumed at a barbershop.

According to the obtained information, on February 6, Samat Imanbekov went to his regular barbershop and invited the employees Ali Haydar K. and Adnan B. to join him for dinner. The three friends went to a restaurant in the same neighborhood, where they ate and consumed alcohol. After the meal, Imanbekov bought a bottle of alcohol to drink later. He told his friends that he would come back the next day for a haircut and suggested that they could drink the alcohol together.

HE STOPPED BREATHING

The next day, around 9:00 PM, Imanbekov arrived at the barbershop with a bottle of alcohol and requested a haircut. While getting his haircut, he started drinking the alcohol he had brought. After a while, he said that he was feeling sleepy and lay down on the floor. Ali Haydar K. and Adnan B., who had dined with him the previous day, tried to wake him up but noticed that he was not breathing. They immediately called emergency services and the police.

RESTAURANT OWNER ARRESTED

Paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that Imanbekov had passed away. Following this, the barbershop employees, Ali Haydar K. and Adnan B., were taken to the police station for questioning but were later released. Meanwhile, the police detained Burhan S., the owner of the restaurant where Imanbekov had purchased the alcohol, and took him to the police station for interrogation.
