In Alanya, a gasoline car was made from a tree trunk

In Alanya, Adem Say realized his 40-year-old dream by creating a gasoline-powered car from a tree trunk.

Adem Say, who lives in the Yaylalı neighborhood of Alanya, amazed everyone with the car he invented. He fulfilled his dream, which started at the age of 10, at the age of 50. After carving a tree trunk, he installed a motor and designed a gasoline-powered car. Adem Say, who takes care of the car as if it’s his most precious possession, said, “I was born and grew up in the Yaylalı neighborhood of Alanya. When I was 10, I dreamed of making a wooden car. We fulfilled our dream 40 years later. We made it ourselves without going to the industry, right on our site by the roadside. We used recycled parts and second-hand materials. I’m very happy. Everyone who sees it has given great feedback. Everyone should fulfill their dreams. Dreams are not like puzzles.”

IT ALL STARTED WITH A TREE TRUNK

Adem Say mentioned that anyone can make their own car: “We first saw the wooden piece. One day, when we went to the mountain for a trip, I saw a tree that had fallen about 20-25 years ago. With the help of my friends, we took that piece. We worked on it and finished it. Initially, we thought about making a model, but then we decided to add a motor, so we put a motor in it. We installed a gasoline engine with 150 cc. It has a battery. Since we couldn’t place the motor in the front, we made it rear-wheel drive. It turned out to be a great car. Everyone can make their own car.”

A TOURIST ATTRACTION

Adem Say said that many tourists wanted to take pictures with the car: “We are located on the road to Dim Cave. Many foreign visitors, especially in the summer, pass by and are curious. They come up to the car, examine it, and take photos.”
