In Planalto, Brazil, a 14-year-old child lost their life due to a dangerous social media challenge. According to reports, after seeing the hazardous trend, the teenager injected himself with a butterfly.
Davi Nunes Moreira, a 14-year-old living in Brazil, saw a dangerous challenge on social media and, influenced by it, injected the remains of a dead butterfly mixed with water into his leg. His condition rapidly worsened, and his family rushed him to the hospital. There, he admitted to injecting himself with the mixture.
SEPTIC SHOCK
Authorities stated that the injection caused a severe infection and poisoning.
According to the doctors’ initial evaluation, Davi's body quickly went into septic shock. The toxins from the injection led to organ failure, ultimately resulting in the young boy’s death.
SYRINGE FOUND UNDER HIS PILLOW
Police announced that they are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the exact cause of death and are investigating whether this case is linked to a dangerous social media challenge.
Davi’s father said he found the syringe his son had used under his pillow.
