Gazipaşa High School regained its name after 12 years

Since 2013, the school had been known as the "Gazipaşa Central Anatolian High School," but it will now once again be referred to by its original name, "Gazipaşa High School." Having graduated thousands of valuable students over the years, the school has reclaimed its identity. Many alumni, teachers, and residents of Gazipaşa attended the sign-reinstallation ceremony.

Gazipaşa National Education Director Remzi Yetkin emphasized the history and educational significance of Gazipaşa High School in his speech at the ceremony. He highlighted the school's 61-year legacy as an educational institution that has played a crucial role in the town’s academic development.

“Gazipaşa High School is not only a beacon of education today but will continue to be one for the future as well. This institution, which has nurtured thousands of graduates, is a source of pride for our district with its academic success and distinguished alumni. Today, as our school reclaims its historic name, we take pride in preserving this valuable heritage of the past and continuing our educational journey with even greater strength,” said Yetkin.

The ceremony was attended by Alanya National Education Director Yusuf Yılmaz, teachers, alumni, students, and protocol members with strong ties to the school.
