Zero waste training for staff in Alanya

In collaboration with the Alanya Municipality’s Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste and the Directorate of Cleaning Services, a zero-waste training session was organized for employees of the Municipality’s Social Facilities. As part of efforts to enhance institutional technical capacity, awareness training on waste management was provided to the staff of Iskele Çay Bahçesi, a facility under the Directorate of Enterprises and Affiliates.
During the training held at Alanya Municipality, topics covered included the correct separation of waste generated in restaurants, dining areas, and general use spaces, separate collection of recyclable waste, and effective waste storage methods to prevent environmental and visual pollution. Additionally, in an effort to raise awareness about zero waste and climate change, an educational session was conducted for the staff of Iskele Çay Bahçesi. This session covered the causes and consequences of climate change, the impact of human activities on the climate, and ways to develop sustainable living skills.
AIMED AT RAISING AWARENESS
The training organized by Alanya Municipality aimed to increase employees' awareness of the zero-waste approach, their daily consumption habits, and ways to reduce waste. Alanya Municipality places great importance on recycling to ensure a clean environment, a self-renewing nature, and healthy living spaces. The launched zero-waste project aims to raise environmental awareness among citizens and encourage their participation in recycling. It was stated that recycling and zero-waste efforts will continue to ensure that future generations inherit a clean and high-quality environment and to create a more livable city.
