Terrible Fire in Bursa’s Yenişehir District Ends in Tragedy

A late-night fire in the Yenişehir district of Bursa ended in heartbreak. In the blaze, 3-month-old baby Sevginur and her 4-year-old brother Efe D. lost their lives, while their 3-year-old brother Enes D. was injured and taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred around 10:30 PM on Çayır Street in the Çayır neighborhood of Yenişehir. The fire, the cause of which is still unknown, quickly engulfed the house. Firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Despite the intense efforts of the fire crews, two young children could not be saved.

YOUNGEST CHILDREN DIED, MIDDLE CHILD INJURED

3-month-old Sevginur and 4-year-old Efe D. died due to smoke inhalation. 3-year-old Enes D. was taken to Yenişehir State Hospital for treatment. The heartbreaking event left the neighborhood in deep sorrow.

BODIES SENT TO FORENSIC INSTITUTE

The bodies of the deceased children were taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Morgue for official procedures. Police and fire teams have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

NEIGHBORS IN SHOCK: “FLAMES ERUPTED SUDDENLY”

Neighbors who rushed to the scene said the fire spread rapidly, and they struggled to intervene. One witness stated, “The flames suddenly erupted. When we learned there were children inside, we were devastated. Unfortunately, by the time the firefighters arrived, it was too late.”
