When will schools open? Here are the answers to what you’re curious about for the new term…

The Ministry of National Education has announced the 2024-2025 academic calendar. Accordingly, the new school year will begin on September 9, 2024, and end on June 20, 2025.

Professional development for teachers will start on Monday, September 2. Orientation programs for preschool and first-grade students will take place between September 2 and 6.

The first term will begin on Monday, September 9, 2024, and end on Friday, January 17, 2025. The first mid-term break will be from November 11 to 15, 2024. The mid-year holiday will start on January 20, 2025, and end on January 31, 2025.

The second term will begin on Monday, February 3, 2025, and conclude on Friday, June 20, 2025. The second mid-term break will be from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

Additionally, guidance activities will be organized for fifth-grade students in middle schools and imam hatip middle schools, preparatory and ninth-grade students in secondary education institutions, and students who will stay in dormitories.
