Alanya-Cyprus ferry services are returning!

Bilal Korkmaz, a tourism agency owner and ALTSO council member, announced plans to launch ferry services between Alanya and Cyprus, emphasizing that this project would significantly benefit Alanya's tourism. Korkmaz stated, "These services will revitalize Alanya's tourism."
Korkmaz shared this development with the public through journalists. He noted that the Alanya-Anamur-Cyprus ferry tours would greatly boost Alanya's tourism and that there was high demand for such services. Korkmaz mentioned that they would continue their efforts and that meetings on this matter would soon be held with Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik. "There is a very serious effort underway," he added.
REVITALIZING ALANYA TOURISM
Continuing his statement, Korkmaz said, "Potentially, Alanya is one of the most important destinations in Turkey and the world. Anamur is our sister coastal city. I believe that collaborating on such a coastal project would be beneficial. We had initiatives in this regard. I recently received an invitation from the President of the Anamur Chamber of Commerce and attended a meeting. During the meeting, they mentioned that they had chartered a ship to operate services from Anamur to Cyprus. They are very serious and enthusiastic about this effort, having made considerable progress.
I told them that while a few trips from Anamur might be possible, there might be challenges in consistently filling the ship with passengers over the long term. I suggested that if the project starts from Alanya, the ship could pick up passengers in Anamur and continue to Cyprus. On the return trip from Kyrenia, Cyprus, it could drop off passengers in Anamur and then return to Alanya. I also highlighted that Alanya's port is larger, safer, and healthier. I mentioned that there are over 500 sales points in Alanya and insisted on planning the project in this manner, believing it would be more effective and beneficial. We will also discuss the matter with our Mayor."
