Antalya's pride Emir Batur at the Olympics

Among the 10,500 athletes competing for medals in 32 sports at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is Emir Batur Albayrak, a record-holding national swimmer who developed his skills with the Antalyaspor swim team.

Emir Batur Albayrak, representing Turkey at the Paris 2024 Olympics, was selected as one of the 102 national athletes competing in Paris after achieving successful results in the qualifying events held throughout the season.

In the Olympics, which are the world's largest sports event, the Turkish team, competing under the slogan "Same Spirit Again," includes eight swimmers in the swimming discipline, including Emir Batur. Additionally, Turgay Demircioğlu, the head coach of the Antalyaspor swim team, is among the national team coaches participating in the Olympics.

The Only Athlete Representing Antalya

Albayrak, the only athlete representing Antalya in the Olympic delegation, will compete in the men's 1500 meters freestyle and the challenging 10-kilometer open water events. The national swimmer is completing his final preparations to make his mark in Olympic history.
