The Cleanest Beaches of the Mediterranean Are in This District

Located at the point where Antalya's natural cliffs meet the Mediterranean Sea, the blue-flagged İnciraltı Beach, managed by Muratpaşa Municipality, offers city residents the chance to swim in crystal-clear waters alongside hundreds of marine creatures.

In Antalya, which is the champion of ‘blue flags’ in Turkey with 233 beaches, the Muratpaşa Municipality continues to host thousands of visitors each year at its beaches along the cliffside, including Konserve, Mobil, İnciraltı, Erdal İnönü, and Erenkuş. Additionally, Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal, after long efforts, has included Bambus Beach in the list of publicly accessible municipal beaches this year.

Muratpaşa Municipality received its first blue flag in 2017 for the Erdal İnönü, Mobil, and İnciraltı cliff beaches. İnciraltı Beach, covering an area of 625 square meters and featuring a wooden platform and a single elevator, continues to maintain its blue flag due to its water cleanliness. The municipality also offers comfortable services such as sunbed rentals, umbrellas, and a kiosk, enhancing visitors’ experiences. Residents of the city enjoy being immersed in nature and swimming among various fish and marine life in the clear waters of the beach from the early morning.

Nezahat Aydın, who enjoys swimming at İnciraltı Beach, expressed satisfaction with the beach's cleanliness and the staff's friendliness, saying, “From now on, I'll be coming here.” 67-year-old Kamil Sönmez mentioned that he prefers İnciraltı due to the elevator, noting, “After a certain age, you start looking for places that are easier to access.”
