Alanya, be careful! Always check expiration dates

The Alanya District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has started inspecting school canteens with the beginning of the new academic year.

With the start of the academic year, the inspection teams of the Alanya District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry have begun inspecting school canteens and cafeterias. During these inspections, not only food items but also the physical condition of the canteens, staff, equipment, and tools are checked. Mehmet Rüzgar, the Director of the Alanya District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, stated that 24 canteens were inspected in the first week after schools reopened.

Teams Mobilized for Children's Health

Speaking about the inspections carried out and planned, Director Mehmet Rüzgar mentioned that no fines have been issued so far. Rüzgar said, "In the first week after schools opened in Alanya, 24 canteens were inspected. Our inspections will continue without interruption. We check both hygiene and staff. Sales of carbonated drinks in canteens are strictly prohibited. We will complete our checks diligently for the health of our children. We have not issued fines yet, only given warnings. We also advise students to pay attention to the expiration dates of the products they purchase".
