9,000 lira fine for scooter users!
Traffic inspections were carried out for scooter drivers in Alanya. Fines of up to 9,000 TL were issued to drivers who violated the rules. The purpose of these inspections is to maintain traffic order and enhance safety.
During inspections carried out by the Alanya District Police Department, a total of 48 scooter drivers were checked, and 6 drivers who violated the rules were fined 9,042 TL. These inspections are conducted to ensure that drivers comply with traffic rules as the use of scooters rapidly increases. Special attention was drawn to the rules that scooter users must follow on pedestrian paths, parking areas, and in heavy traffic to ensure safety.
While scooters offer a practical solution for transportation, their improper and dangerous use can lead to accidents. For this reason, the authorities decided to apply strict inspections to ensure that scooter users do not jeopardize traffic order and the safety of other road users. During the inspections, the technical equipment of the scooters was also checked, and vehicles with insufficient equipment were removed from traffic.
Officials emphasized the importance of wearing helmets and noted that scooter users must comply with safety measures, such as wearing reflective clothing and using lighting, to increase visibility in traffic. The rising scooter traffic in Alanya is creating dangerous situations for both pedestrians and other vehicle drivers.
It was stated that these inspections aim to prevent rule violations and ensure public safety. Officials stressed that scooter drivers should be more attentive to following traffic rules; otherwise, fines will continue to increase. It was also announced that regular inspections will continue in the coming days, and rule violators will continue to be penalized.
