Turkey Maarif Foundation to Collaborate in Alanya
The Turkey Maarif Foundation and Alanya University have signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol in the field of education. The signing ceremony, attended by Turkey Maarif Foundation President Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün and Alanya University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Ekinci, aims to establish a model of exemplary collaboration based on the national and international experiences of the two institutions.
Under the protocol, the parties will collaborate in various areas such as developing joint projects in education, promoting the Turkish language and culture, and supporting academic and scientific research. The protocol includes provisions for providing scholarships, creating educational programs, organizing research and development projects, and strengthening international student programs. With this protocol, the Turkey Maarif Foundation and Alanya University plan to cooperate on many important issues, including supporting educational activities, sharing knowledge in language education, and encouraging joint academic research.
Among these areas is the prioritization of directing international students to universities in Turkey and enabling them to continue their education after graduation. Additionally, the establishment of the infrastructure for distance education systems, curriculum development, and support for cultural activities are also significant points of collaboration.
As part of the cooperation, the parties will provide a 50% discount on tuition fees for students graduating from Turkey Maarif Foundation schools at Alanya University. This discount will be applicable if the students meet certain conditions. Furthermore, offering training and internship support to teachers and administrators working in foundation schools is also a significant provision of the cooperation protocol. Under the protocol, both parties will ensure that their institutional names and logos are used together in all documents and materials in accordance with standards. Through this signed protocol, both institutions aim to create a significant synergy by combining their strengths in national and international educational projects.
The protocol will be valid for three years and will be open to changes with the written consent of the parties. At the end of the protocol period, it will automatically be extended for one-year periods unless either party objects.
Prof. Dr. Aykut Ekinci, the Acting Rector of Alanya University, expressed his views on the protocol established between the two institutions. Emphasizing the importance of the protocol, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Aykut Ekinci stated: “The cooperation protocol signed with the Turkey Maarif Foundation is of great significance for our university and the education system of our country. We aim to enhance quality in education, promote academic and scientific research, and introduce the Turkish language and culture at an international level. With the opportunities provided by the protocol, we will continue to support the educational journeys of both the graduates of the Turkey Maarif Foundation and international students by offering them broader opportunities.”
