Pig Carcass Crisis in Sugözü Neighborhood, Alanya

Residents of Sugözü, one of Alanya's popular neighborhoods, are facing difficulties due to a long-standing garbage problem. A pig carcass lying on Çinioğlu Street for over a week is emitting a foul odor and threatening public health.

Sugözü Neighborhood Head Hasan Uysal stated that they have repeatedly reported this situation to the municipality, but a solution has yet to be found. The head expressed his helplessness, saying, “The pig carcass has been here for over a week; we have reported it to the municipality several times, they came to check it out, but no one has touched it yet.”

Residents of the neighborhood express great discomfort due to this situation. Especially in the summer months, the heat intensifies the bad smell, posing a health threat to those living in the surrounding homes. Furthermore, the presence of play areas for children in the region exacerbates the situation.

Residents and the head are expecting authorities to take immediate action to resolve this issue. Citizens emphasize that such situations occur more frequently during the summer months and stress that the municipality should be more sensitive to this problem.
