In Alanya, an accident occurred in a greenhouse where a rope used in the rail system for transporting bananas broke, resulting in the death of Syrian national Mohammed El Cheker (35) at the scene, and Mevlüt Tokaç (39) later passing away in the hospital. Two other workers were severely injured and are undergoing treatment.

The incident took place around 4:00 PM in a banana greenhouse in the Imamlı neighborhood. Syrian workers Mohammed El Cheker, Yusuf El Yusuf, Mevlüt Tokaç, and Ahmet Okyanus (57) loaded bananas into a container used by the rail system inside the greenhouse. As the container, with the four workers inside, moved down a ramp to take the bananas to an external area of the greenhouse, the rope holding it broke. The container sped down, hitting the concrete floor, throwing all four workers out of it.
