Yellow alert issued for Alanya! Heavy rain and storm are coming
Due to the expected heavy rain and storms in much of the country, the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for 49 provinces, including Alanya, Gazipaşa, and Manavgat.
According to the statement from Meteorology, many regions of the country, including Alanya, will experience a rainy and windy week. Especially in the Marmara, Aegean, and Mediterranean regions, including Alanya, there is a risk of flooding due to heavy rainfall. It is also stated that the wind will be in the form of storms in some areas.
According to the forecast, the entire country is expected to be partly cloudy and rainy, with rain and showers in Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Western Black Sea (except Sinop), Southeast Anatolia, and in Malatya, Elazığ, Tunceli, Ağrı, Muş, Bingöl, Bitlis, Van, and Şırnak. Coastal areas of Aegean and Mediterranean will experience thunderstorms and heavy showers.
Temperature
Temperatures are expected to decrease by 4-6 degrees in the western Marmara region, while other areas will experience little to no change.
Heavy Rain Warning
Rain is expected to be heavy in Marmara, Coastal Aegean, Western Mediterranean, Adana, Düzce, Zonguldak, Bolu, and Bartın. Very heavy rain is expected in İzmir, Aydın, Muğla, and the eastern parts of Antalya, so caution and preventive measures are advised.
Strong Wind Warning
Wind is expected to be strong and stormy (50-80 km/h) in Marmara, Aegean, Northern Central Anatolia, and the Central Black Sea. Starting from Thursday (12:00), strong northwest winds (40-60 km/h) are expected to affect the northwest regions, so caution is advised.
AKOM Warning
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) announced that starting tomorrow, strong southerly winds and heavy showers are expected. According to the statement, a low-pressure system is expected to influence Istanbul and the entire Marmara region.
Heavy Rain until Saturday Evening
The wind is expected to strengthen into a storm with short bursts of strong gales, accompanied by heavy showers. Temperatures will drop by 8-10 degrees. In Istanbul, winds will start strengthening from midnight and are expected to continue in storm-like conditions until Saturday afternoon. Rain will be heavy from 12:00 to 21:00 on Friday and from 08:00 to 20:00 on Saturday.
