Those who did not attend the Friday Market lost their rights
The Alanya Municipality Police Department conducted inspections at the Friday Market and found that 38 people had not attended their stalls for 8 consecutive weeks. The 38 vacated market spaces were allocated through a lottery to 36 participating producers.
The Alanya Municipality Police Department found, during inspections, that 38 individuals had been absent from their assigned spots at the Friday Market for 8 consecutive weeks. For the allocation of these spaces, 116 individuals who had not been given spaces or included in previous lotteries were invited. The lottery, with 36 participants, was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Mayor Ali Yenialp, Police Chief Naci Uzunsakal, Agricultural Chamber President Tahir Göktepe, Police Officer Erkan Durmaz, and Police Commissioner İsmail Yetkin.

Tahir Göktepe, President of the Agricultural Chamber, stated: “Spaces were allocated through a lottery for producers who couldn’t be assigned spots during the market relocation. I thank our Mayor, Mr. Osman Tarık Özçelik, our Police Chief, and all staff members for their efforts in ensuring the supply of safe food to consumers and addressing the concerns of our producers”.

Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik emphasized: “We have done and will continue to do everything we can to support our producers. As you know, we moved our Friday Market to an open area at the request of traders. During this process, we invited 116 producers who hadn’t been allocated spots. Spaces were assigned to 36 participants through a lottery. I wish great success and prosperity to the 36 traders who will now open their stalls at the Friday Market”.
