Horrific accident on the road to Alanya

A traffic accident occurred in Erdemli district of Mersin, where two people on a motorcycle narrowly escaped serious danger. The motorcycle driver and passenger, who collided with a truck making a turn towards the Mersin-Antalya D-400 highway, survived the crash with injuries. Security cameras captured the moment of the accident.

The crash happened in Kocahasanlı Neighborhood at the intersection of Kerim Kiya and Kamil Cırık streets. According to reports, a truck with license plate 33 VEK 62, driven by E.T., was making a turn towards the D-400 highway when a motorcycle with license plate 33 ATD 871, operated by A.B.K., lost control, skidded, and crashed into the rear of the truck. Due to the impact, motorcycle driver A.B.K. and passenger E.K. fell to the ground.

INJURED TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL

Upon receiving reports of the accident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were transported to Erdemli State Hospital after receiving first aid from paramedics. According to health officials, neither the motorcycle driver nor the passenger sustained life-threatening injuries.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE ACCIDENT

Traffic police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Security camera footage showed that the crash occurred within seconds. Authorities urged drivers to remain cautious on the roads.
