Some pine trees were set on fire and cut down this morning at the Ak Cemetery in the Kestel district of Alanya.
Residents believe the trees were intentionally damaged to make room for graves. Local residents reacted strongly to the damage caused to nature and demanded that the authorities find those responsible for the incident. A request was made to increase inspections at the cemetery, which is under the management of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter.
