In Alanya, 165 young people got acquainted with the opportunities of Erasmus+ and ESC

An event took place in Alanya, where 165 young people got acquainted with various international opportunities, including Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programs. The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Mediterranean Youth Association (AGDER), the ALBÜS Project, the Youth Services Department of Alanya Municipality, the E-Youth Association, and the Bursa Innovative Volunteering and Sports Association. It attracted a lot of attention from young people.
In his opening speech, the President of the Mediterranean Youth Association, Muhittin Alp, mentioned that they started the Erasmus+ project on March 15 and said, “Our goal is to send more young people abroad through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs, supporting their personal, academic, and social development.”
At the event, experts in their fields provided detailed information to the youth about Erasmus+ and ESC projects. The unique opportunities these programs offer to improve language skills, increase intercultural communication abilities, and build international networks were emphasized. Additionally, participants were provided with detailed technical information about motivation letters and application processes.
One of the most notable parts of the event was the interactive Q&A and one-on-one consultancy session. Participants had the opportunity to ask direct questions to the experts and receive personalized consultancy about the process of participating in international projects.
At the end of the day, an entertaining contest was held, where one participant won the right to participate in the Erasmus+ program in Spain for two months with all expenses covered. The lucky participant, through the project in Malaga, will get the chance to experience a new culture and develop their academic and social skills. Also, one participant earned the opportunity to take part in a 10-day Educational Course project in Hungary.
The organizers of the event – the ALBÜS family and their partners – plan to offer even more opportunities to young people in the future through new training, seminars, and workshops. There will be a particular focus on increasing young people's awareness of European Union projects and international opportunities.
The event, which drew significant interest from young people, marked an important step in the development of international youth work in Alanya.
