In 2003, 2.5 republic gold coins could be bought with the minimum wage. With the recent increase, for the first time, the republic gold has surpassed the minimum wage. The republic gold surpassed 22,300 TRY, exceeding the minimum wage for the first time.

On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose an additional 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports. Trump also stated that he would introduce additional reciprocal tariffs in response to tariffs imposed by other countries, which will be implemented immediately. As trade wars intensify, concerns are primarily supporting the gold market.

While the U.S. dollar strengthens in global markets, the Euro has fallen to its lowest level in two years.
